There’s a hidden Night Mode feature on Android 7.0 Nougat. Unfortunately, it’s hidden by default.
Night Mode is Android’s useful mode that removes blue light from your screen – similar to Flux software. It’s designed to make it easier to use your phone in bed (or anytime late at night) without messing up your eyesight and sleep cycles.
For whatever reason, Google has not given us the ability to toggle Night Mode on and off. Fortunately, thanks to a helpful Android app, that’s no longer an issue.
Here’s the step by step guide to activating Night Mode on Android 7.0 Nougat with no root required:
Step 1) Download the Night Mode Enabler app here
Step 2) Open the app and follow the steps. The first step is to enable System UI Tuner, which you can do by long-pressing on the gear icon when the notification shade is down.
Step 3) The next step involves tapping the “Enable Night Mode” button on the app. Press that, and you’ll see a toggle for Night Mode appear.
Ultimately, this app is ridiculously easy to use and helpful. Best of all, it’s free and works exactly as advertised. The app initially came with no in-app purchases, but the developer added them after people insisted on donating – so the option is there in the app if you feel like being generous.
Once again, you can download Night Mode Enabler from here.
