How to root the LG G2 (Sprint) lg-ls980

Step 1) Download One Click Root and install it on your PC, Mac, or Linux computer
Step 2) Move to your LG G2 (Sprint) lg-ls980 and enable USB debugging from the settings menu

The LG G2 lg-ls980 is the sprint variant of LG’s flagship that released in 2013. At the time, the LG G2 featured some of the best hardware and one of the most impressive displays. The camera on the G2 was also quite impressive, matching up against other top end smartphone cameras. The LG G2 also had some decent software backed by the Android operating system, which at the time was considered to be a lot better than iOS by many.

Whilst the LG G2 came with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, it can now be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Jelly Bean was a great Android OS but Lollipop came with some much needed interface changes to make the overall Android experience more streamlined and unified. LG of course has it’s own overlay and software features for the LG G2 but unfortunately most of those didn’t come to fruition until the release of the LG G3.

The G2 does have some decent software but without many decent manufacturer applications the G2 is a little lacking when compared to other smartphones released at the time. There are some great applications in the app store that can be installed that can improve the utility of your LG G2, but if you’d like the absolute best experience the best option would be to root your LG G2.
