The LG G4 Dual released as an alternative version to the standard G4 and as the name suggests, it comes with dual SIM card support. Manufacturers have been reluctant to launch dual SIM variants of their latest flagships on a global level so it was great to see LG release the G4 Dual. Besides the added SIM card slot, pretty much everything else about the LG G4 Dual is parallel to the original G4.

Just like the device it was based on, the LG G4 Dual has a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The display is definitely one of the best options out there currently, and it is paired with LG’s super high quality 16 megapixel camera that can capture great quality images with it’s OIS and laser autofocus. The camera can also record footage in 2K video quality which can then be watched back on the 2K display.

On the inside, the LG G4 Dual is just as pretty as the other LG G4 variants. The Dual comes with a removable back cover and the battery can be replaced. A microSD card slot is also available and it can support up to an additional 128GB of external storage. Without the microSD card, the G4 Dual can still get by happily with it’s 32GB of internal storage. When it comes to other specs, the G4 Dual offers great results, although it’s not the best option on the market for raw performance. Like it’s father, the G4 Dual uses a Snapdragon 808 SoC, which is a step down from the Snapdragon 810 that launched in many other 2015 flagship devices in 2015. Whilst the Snapdragon 808 chipset doesn’t offer the same performance as it’s sibling, there’s no denying that the 808 actually has much better temperature profiles so if you’re not a fan of super heated devices and you enjoy mobile gaming, the LG G4 may actually be a better option for your personal usage.
