The LG Nexus 5 launched in 2013 as part of the Google Nexus range and despite it now being quite a few years old, the device still has enough hardware to deal with the latest Android OS updates. Speaking of the latest and greatest Android, the Nexus range still gets immediate updates to new Android updates which makes the LG Nexus 5 one device that already has an update available for Marshmallow 6.0.1. The Nexus 5 also has stock Android so the experience is as smooth and untouched as you can get from an Android smartphone.
If you would like to root your LG Nexus 5 on Marshmallow 6.0.1 to unlock even more features and potential functionality for your device, you may want to consider using our One Click Root software. Unlike other root methods, One Click Root is mostly automated so you really can click a single button and let the software do the rest of the work for you. The only steps you’ll need to take are listed above. Fortunately these four steps are super easy to follow out and once you have followed them you’ll be a single step away from rooting your Nexus 5!
The LG Nexus 5 features a 4.95 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display quality isn’t quite as impressive as the superior 2K panels that LG has been using in recent years but it’s still a decent performer for bright visuals and decent color reproduction. On the interior the Nexus 5 from LG is powered by the Snapdragon 800, which has a quad core 2.3GHz Krait processor. The LG Nexus smartphone also has an Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. In 2015 the flagship Qualcomm chipset to be is the Snapdragon 820 which does boast significantly better performance than the Snapdragon 800 but even so you aren’t going to come across any lag or slow down with the Nexus 5’s SoC choice, especially when using the buttery smooth stock Android UX.
The LG Nexus 5 also comes with a 2,300mAh battery and an 8 megapixel camera that can shoot in 1080p video quality. On the front of the device there is also a 1.3MP primary camera, which is perhaps the biggest weak point of the Nexus 5. The LG Nexus 5 comes with two different variants – a 16GB version and a 32GB version. Unfortunately neither version has support for microSD card storage. Google has opted to remove microSD storage from their Nexus devices in a move to make storing data simpler for users. We think it’s a shame that storage space can’t be upgraded on the Nexus 5 but if memory is a big thing for you, you could potentially get a USB OTG memory card or look for an alternative device.
