The Samsung Galaxy Ace II gt-s7560m is the Galaxy Ace II variant released for the Bell network in North America. The hardware and software between the Bell version and the standard version is the same, although the Bell version does come with some network related bloatware which can be removed once you’ve rooted the device. The Samsung Galaxy Ace launched in 2012 as a mid tier device and as a result it’s hardware today is considered to be very limiting.
Whilst the 3.8 inch 480 x 800 display on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 may be a bit of a shock, the other hardware specifications for the Ace 2 easily rival the poor display quality. Besides the 5 megapixel camera on the outside, which doesn’t perform too badly, the Samsung Galaxy Ace II from Bell is powered by a dual core 800MHz processor and a Mali-400 GPU. On the memory front, the Ace 2 has just 4GB of internal memory and 768MB of RAM. The Ace II can be upgraded to JellyBean but it comes with Gingerbread out of the box. Unfortunately because of the lack of hardware, running TouchWiz on Jelly Bean is quite challenging. We’d suggest rooting the Samsung Galaxy Ace II so that you can install a custom ROM that runs smoother and has more internal memory for you to utilize.
The TouchWiz on the Ace 2 is outdated by today’s terms but it still has a lot of features. The trouble is that the TouchWiz of the Ace 2 era is the same TouchWiz that Samsung packed full with features without thinking too heavily on performance and optimization. The laggy TouchWiz coupled with the terrible hardware in the Ace 2 is a recipe for disaster, so we’d highly suggest swapping out for any alternative ROM at any chance you can get.
