The Samsung Galaxy J7 is a mid range device that launched in 2015 to meet the market for ex-Apple fans. The J7 comes in a variety of variants and this particular version, the J7 SM-J7008 is a dual SIM device. Whilst other versions of the J7 have just one SIM card slot, the rest of the hardware and software specifications are mostly the same across the board. So what’s interesting about the Galaxy J7 and does it provide enough oomph as a mid ranger?

Before we talk more about the Samsung Galaxy J7, let’s talk about rooting. If you have come here to root your J7 then chances are you aren’t too interested in the product description of the device. If this is the case and you would like to root your device as quickly as possible then please follow the step by step guide provided above. This guide will take you through the first steps required to prepare your J7 for root. Once you’ve followed these steps you will be asked to use our One Click Root software to root your device. Unlike other methods, using One Click Root is mostly an automated process that is handled by the software so you won’t have to do any of the hard work yourself. This is particularly great for two reasons. Firstly, without any Human input there is no chance for Human error which could end with your device being bricked or having other potential software issues. The second reason is because it’s just so much simpler – there’s no stress, confusion or worry. Most importantly everything is completed within record time so that you can make use of your newly rooted device as quickly as possible.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5 inch display which has a resolution of 720 x 1280. Just like the display, the other hardware elements of the J7 are very much on par with what a 2015 mid range device is expected to be. For example the J7 is powered by the less powerful but still functional Snapdragon 615 chipset whilst the RAM is sitting at 1.5GB in capacity. Interestingly the J7 has a 13 megapixel camera which is where the device stands out from other smartphones in the mid-range crowd. The J7 has a more-than reasonably sized 3,000mAh battery which should get the average smartphone user through each day without struggle.

As for software, the J7 uses Android 5.1 Lollipop and no upgrades are currently planned.
