The HTC One VX was released in 2012 alongside a number of other mid-range devices. Unlike it’s cousin, the HTC One SV, the VX has a 4.5 inch display. The SV on the other hand has a slightly smaller 4.3 inch display. The display resolution of the VX is 540 x 960 to make up for the increase in screen size so the overall pixel density is almost the same between both devices. In terms of inner hardware and software, the HTC One VX is almost identical to the HTC One SV. For example, just like SV, the HTC One VX is powered by a Snapdragon S4 Plus. The S4 Plus includes a 1.2GHz dual core processor and an Adreno 305 GPU. There is 1GB of RAM to handle tasks too, but most of the graphical processing will be done by the CPU and GPU combo. 1GB of RAM is still enough for most tasks on the Android operating system but the outdated Snapdragon S4 Plus is a little limited in performance.

Fortunately if you root your HTC One VX you can monitor your CPU and RAM performance and increase the clock rate of your CPU to improve how it handles it’s work load. Being able to overclock your CPU and monitor your RAM and CPU data in real time is something that can only be done on a rooted smartphone. For the most part these performance features also require a custom ROM to work. Fortunately there are a number of custom ROMs that can be installed via a number of popular Android modding communities, such as the XDA Developers forum or MoDaCo.

Another drawback of the HTC One VX is it’s limited internal storage space. With just 8GB of internal memory, some of which is taken up by the operating system, you’re really limited with what you can install onto the HTC One VX. As the average file size of an Android application has grown and access to media and content has become easier, 8GB of storage space just doesn’t cut it. You can insert a 32GB microSD card into the HTC One VX but this is the highest amount of extra storage space the device will take. If you are struggling with storage space on the HTC One VX, rooting your device can also help you out. Firstly by rooting your smartphone you have the option to install a custom ROM that could take up a lot less space than the HTC Sense UI does. Secondly, if you don’t want to install a custom ROM, you can still uninstall any bloatware that came with your device. Unlike on an unrooted device, it’s possible to uninstall every application on the HTC One VX one it has been rooted. Just make sure you don’t uninstall any important system apps.

To root the HTC One VX, all you need to do is follow the guide we have provided above. There are four very easy steps to follow and once you have completed them your HTC One VX will be unlocked. Unlocking the VX is easy to do and with our One Click Root software you won’t have a single thing to worry about.
